Turnaround Day

You are probably saying to yourself, “What on earth is Turnaround Day.”

Since the cruises are scheduled one right after each other, that means that the same afternoon you get on the ship, another set of passengers got off that morning.  Those days, which are very busy for the crew and dock workers, are what are referred to as “turnaround day.”

This all happens so seamlessly and like clockwork, but is clearly the busiest day for workers on a cruise ship.  So if that first day everything is not exactly right and the lines seem to go on forever, please understand that while the crew makes it looks effortless, there is a lot going on behind the scenes.

Watch the videos below to get a glimpse of how cruise lines turn around a ship in less than 12 hours.
